Leadership Structure
Managing Partner | Herman Gribble
Herman Gribble is the founder, director, and sole member of IDPS Project Management cc, bringing over 30 years of experience in South Africa’s infrastructure and developmental project sector.
His career began with the Murray & Roberts Group, followed by extensive involvement in the Community-Based Public Works Programme, later known as the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).
Herman’s expertise spans project management, academic research, and community-based development. He has led initiatives focused on employment creation for youth and women in underdeveloped communities, particularly through infrastructure projects such as access roads, sidewalks, and school maintenance programs.
As Director of the EPWP Programme within the Western Cape Department of Transport & Public Works, he pioneered the Empowerment Impact Assessment (EmpIA) process, embedding participatory development into high-value infrastructure planning.
His academic contributions include research, report writing, and survey oversight for institutions like CSIR and the Construction Innovation Unit. Herman continues to provide consultancy services in project administration, grant management, and monitoring for public sector initiatives.
